The Greek language school ended for this year.
The summer came and I was full of enthusiasm to continue in the same rhythm to work on my language. I was not satisfied with the speed of learning and I wanted to encourage myself to begin learning at home. The plan was to read the whole book from the start to the end. I arranged to study with a colleague from the Greek language group. We managed to sit once and drink coffee, eat a cake, chat a bit. To learn, we did not.
I tried to study at home, it was still fresh in my head to continue like in my school, Tuesdays and Thursdays. Next week it was already difficult and slowly slowly the routine was lost.
I needed a change and a place where I would be surrounded by people who came with the goal of learning.

Last year several times I came to this beautiful building. The main reasons were: music program, botanical garden, films along the channel. I knew that the National library of Greece was in the phase of moving into a new building (SNFCC), where I saw a room with computers and a part of the library, the reading room. That was already in use. Another advantage to come more often to SNFCC is that a small van drives every day for free all interested ones. There was no more dilemma. I decided to go one day. I was excited!
If you are going to spend some time learning, you want to have nice bathroom. Let’s check bathroom first! Checked! Perfect!
I went to the first floor of the building. There was a reading room filled with students. It was June, the exam period. I realized that I had to come early in the morning to find a place.
So I did. It is a nice and fresh feeling to be surrounded by young people in a beautiful, sunny, white space with minimalistic furniture. The next time I decided to change place and to go to learn in the computer room. Actually it is an open space, not a room. Computers are new and work well. The stuff keep them updated on a daily basis. I think it was even better choice to come in computer space. This part of the building had more lively atmosphere. You can see group of people with a guide of the building, showing them things around. Also, you can see sleeping man next to you on computer or guy laughing loudly while listening something on YouTube.
This place makes you feel good. It has good vibe. If you get tired of learning, you can take some magazines like Greece Is.
When you want to take a break in learning, you can walk through the botanical garden or enjoy the view of the city from the roof of the building.
